So I’m one day late, but there’s a lot of bang for your buck! Dinner parties, Japanese pot lucks, a trip to Charcut, some home made pork knuckles, ice cream, and some Jager to top it all off!
- The first and last boning knife I’ll ever need…
- Took me 26 min to debone a rabbit. I don’t think any kitchen in the city will hire me.
- Don’t waste any of the goodness! Stock is always useful.
- Forget what it is but my friend from Toronto seemed impressed…
- Guinness with caramel, banana rum, and beet and goat cheese. Funky ice cream for your taste buds.
- Seriously best karage ever.
- Karage, oden, desserts, grilled pork belly, everything you would want.
- A present from germany. Like Jager, except more boozy
- The pea soup was awesome. Maybe I should move to Montreal…
- Natto anyone? It’s not so bad when mixed with other stuff
- Thanks Connie and Charcut for this awesome terrine. Surprisingly light.
- And yet more pork from the bacon ninja herself…
- After this my friend from San Francisco was dying from meat overload… in a good way of course.
- Home made marshmallow. Massive
- And yet more dessert. Cheesecake and cookies. Damn they spoil us.
- Essentially dumplings and meat. Who can argue?
- 1st attempt at home made onigiri
- A little fry gives the rice a nice texture. Unfortunately it didn’t hold together well.
- My parents loved Eastern Europe so much they decided to try cooking pork knuckle after they got home. Not bad at all…
- Mmm… pork
- Rob’s home made sherry mustard was perfect with the pork.
- Failed onigiri turned into crispy friend rice. Oh so tasty. Gives your jaw a work out too!
- Mid-bike ride refuel.
- Pounded beef with herbs salami prosciutto, and parm cheese
- Rolled and tied up into a nice little package
- Usually don’t like cauliflower, but cheese sauce makes everything better
- Involtini, Cauliflower gratin, and onigiri with tuna. The involtini looks like dog poop. Have to work on a better presentation…
