Been a busy week for semi-food porn related stuff. Hence, I’ve forgotten to take pictures of half the stuff I’ve run into. While I get my act together, here’s a bit of food and blacksmithing to hold you over.
- Nothing beats simple meat and cheese at the end of the night
- The chef’s special for the day. Fennel sausage, more fennel, and argula
- Salmon chowder with some puff pastry is to die for. Not to mentioned grilled cheese with proscuitto
- The Phil & Seb crew take great care and prine in making their coffee
- Couldn’t resist some Serrano and a (overly) sweet mojito while waiting out the storm
- Ducked into Ox & Angela to find shelter during a hailstorm
- Who doesn’t love delicate meat breaded and then deep fried. So much depth to this dish.
- The rabbit is overshadowed by those damn great grits. That runny egg yolk takes the grits to the next level
- Nothing is better than a good manhattan
- A little parting gift from my Japanese friends. Tasty!
- The various stages of Japanese knife making
- The Saturday forging demonstration yields 3 early stage knives. A great look into traditional Japanese forging techniques
- Nothing beats a simple BLT
- Rich and creamy raw meat is what ever man needs
- Escaped to the bar while the girls do their girly thing…
- All set for a little high tea
- Not quite enough to fill me up, but then again, high tea is really just for snacking
- Showing the Blacksmiths a good time
- Getting them some much needed osake!
- Chatting away
- Stuffing them full of meat
- and generally celebrating a great day
- Simple last minute dinner with Taber corn! Yes!
